Supporting Pedagogy

We will be running another series of 5 training sessions focusing on supporting pedagogical approaches in the teaching of English, after the success of the first programme during the Spring term. These sessions are now 2 hours long to allow more in-depth delivery of the approaches during the session.

Each session will focus on research-based practice allowing teachers opportunities to reflect on their current practice and to plan for implementing strategies into their current practice.

The programme will have a focus throughout on supporting disadvantaged learners and
teaching for mastery. The course is suitable for NQTs and any teachers looking to sharpen
and refresh their teaching of English.

Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on current practice and consider how they can
implement strategies into their current practice. The final session will be a chance to share
what has been put into practice and the impact.

The same teachers should attend all 5 sessions to have the most impact on practice and we are offering schools the opportunity to book 2 teachers on the programme for the price of £200 for subscribing schools.

Places are limited to ensure participants can interact with each other and the facilitators during the session. Participants will also be expected to keep a reflective journal to demonstrate their professional learning and development journey during the programme.

Spaces are limited, so if you have teachers at your school who you think will benefit from this
programme, we encourage you to book as a priority to avoid disappointment.
