New Headteachers are warmly invited to join the New Headteachers’ Induction Programme 2022-23, run by Schools Alliance for Excellence (SAfE), in partnership with Surrey County Council. SAfE is committed to developing outstanding leaders who can transform schools and ultimately improve outcomes for children and young people. We are passionate about supporting collaborative partnerships.
SAfE is responsible for the professional development of new headteachers and this induction programme gives you the opportunity to develop your leadership and establish relationships with other headteachers, building your own professional network. The programme is cross-phase, so new headteachers from a rich mix of settings come together for these sessions.
We begin the programme with a New Headteacher Welcome Breakfast. ALL new Headteachers in Surrey are invited to attend, whether or not they are new in role. Join us to meet other headteachers new in post and/or new to Surrey and to meet the SAfE Team and key members of the Surrey County Council Education Department.
The dates and details of the rest of the programme are set out below. As you will see, the programme includes three face to face sessions, and three online clinic sessions.
